Organization profile

Edit your organization's display name and logo, or view them read-only if you don't have edit access.

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open the user menu, choose Organization Settings, and you land on the General tab, at /dashboard/settings. If your role can't see General, Organization Settings opens the first tab it can see instead. The Organization profile card holds your organization's display name and logo, the same name shown beneath your current site in the sidebar head and in Members.

Who can edit the profile

Editing the name and logo requires the Organization: Edit permission. The built-in Admin role has it, and you can grant it to any custom role. Without it you still see the current name and logo (or the initials fallback) read-only: the name shows as plain text under Name, the logo shows alone under Logo with no upload, Replace or Remove, and there's no Save button. See Roles for how permissions work.

Edit the name

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open the user menu, then choose Organization Settings. You land on the General tab.

Edit Name in the Organization profile card.

Click Save at the top right, next to the Organization settings title. A confirmation appears, and the new name shows beneath your current site in the sidebar right away.

The name can't be empty, and is trimmed of leading/trailing spaces before saving.

The General tab has one Save for the whole tab, like a site's settings tabs: it's dimmed with "No changes to save." until you change something, an Unsaved changes marker shows beside it while a change is pending, and leaving the tab before saving asks you first. See Save your changes. The title and tabs stay pinned at the top while you scroll, so Save stays in reach. The other organization tabs (Members, Roles, API keys, Billing, Admin activity) have no Save: what you do there, like inviting someone or creating a key, happens at once.

Also updates WorkOS

Your organization's name is also used by WorkOS, our identity provider, for example in invitation emails and the hosted sign-in page. Saving a new name here updates both places, so those surfaces never fall out of sync with what your team sees in the dashboard. If updating WorkOS fails, nothing is saved and you'll see an error; your organization's name stays as it was.

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open the user menu, then choose Organization Settings. You land on the General tab.

In the Organization profile card, choose a file for Logo. With no logo set, click the Upload a logo area to browse, or drag a file from your computer and drop it there (it highlights while you're dragging over it). With a logo already set, click Replace, or drop a file on the logo. A preview replaces the current logo (or the initials fallback) once you pick or drop a valid file.

Click Save at the top right.

Prop

Type

A dropped file goes through the exact same checks as one picked with the file browser. A file that fails either check shows an error next to the field and does not change your current logo: nothing is uploaded.

Once saved, the new logo shows the next time you open this card. The note under the field reminds you that the logo also shows beside the organization's name in the user menu.

Once a logo is set (or a new one is previewed), Replace and Remove buttons appear next to it.

Click Remove next to the logo.
Click Save at the top right.

The logo is cleared, the field goes back to the Upload a logo area, and the card falls back to showing your organization's initials, the same fallback shown before any logo was ever set. Removing the logo doesn't touch the name: you can clear the logo and edit the name in the same save, or either on its own.
