The legal documents and the shopper notice are updated
ChangedThe terms of service are updated and stay a draft. Their version date is now 2026-10-14, in English and French, and the draft banner stays until legal's final sign-off. Our total liability is now capped at €5,000, for all causes combined. A separate agreement between your company and iAdvize, including one made by an exchange of emails, prevails over the terms for what it covers. The three-month period to retrieve your conversations through the REST API after the end is confirmed, and deleted data can stay in our database backups for up to 35 more days until they are overwritten.
The privacy policy is updated and stays a draft. Version 2026-10-14. It now states that we do not track whether you open a product email or which links you click. It says page-view counting on your store is done on your behalf, as your processor, and that our search provider, Linkup, has a signed data processing agreement that makes the European Union its default processing region. Like the terms, the policy now says you can retrieve your conversations through the REST API for three months after the end, and that deleted data can stay in backups for up to 35 more days.
The sub-processor list is updated. It stays approved, at version 2026-10-14. The Linkup rows now give the European Union as its processing region and name the safeguards it uses for its own providers outside the EU.
The shopper notice covers conversation labeling. The data-usage notice your shoppers can open from the chat panel now says, in all six languages, that an AI model labels each conversation for your store after it ends, what the labels describe, and that they are kept with the conversation for 12 months. It states that your store relies on its legitimate interest for this processing, unless your own privacy policy says otherwise. It also says that objecting to measurement stops labeling: a conversation in which the shopper objected is not labeled.
