Conversion rate and add-to-cart rate on the Insights report
AddedThe Insights report now has six tiles instead of four. The two new ones:
- Conversion rate: the share of shopper conversations followed by an order within 24 hours. A refunded order still counts; a cancelled order or a test order doesn't.
- Add-to-cart rate: the share of shopper conversations with at least one add to cart from the chat.
Both count conversations, not orders, so a conversation counts once however many orders follow it. Playground conversations, conversations where the shopper never wrote, and conversations where the assistant never answered are left out. Both tiles follow the report's filters, and with Compare to previous period on they show the change in points.
Today, both tiles show Not measured yet on every site, never 0%. AISA doesn't record add to cart from the chat yet, and it doesn't link orders to conversations yet. Each tile starts showing a figure once its data exists, and only counts conversations from that point on.
Once figures appear, keep two things in mind. The rate for a recent period can still go up until the last conversation's 24-hour window has closed. And an order only counts when its cart carried the conversation's key, so orders placed from another device or another cart are missed: the conversion rate is a lower bound, and it doesn't measure the revenue the assistant generated on its own.
