Page types rest on more evidence, and the page view shows what AISA read

Changed

Page types are more reliable. AISA used to guess a type from the first word of the path, and the read replaced it. It now weighs four kinds of evidence: the address, the sitemap file that listed the page, the page's structured data, and what your shop platform writes into the page (Shopify, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, VTEX, PrestaShop, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, WordPress). When the evidence cannot settle a page, it stays Unknown rather than getting a wrong type.

  • The address check reads words in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch, so /produkte/, /categoria/ or /aktuelles/ now give a guess. A regional prefix such as /gb/en/ is ignored.
  • A Shopify blog's index page is now typed Blog, like an article.
  • A page whose content says nothing keeps the type guessed from its address or sitemap, still marked guessed.

The page view says how sure the type is. The Details card has a new Type decided by line, such as "Structured data, confirmed". The source is the address, the sitemap, the structured data or the shop platform. The confidence is guessed (address or sitemap alone), likely (one reading of the page's own content) or confirmed (the page's content and another source agree). The pages list still shows only the type and guessed. Pages typed before today were given a source. A type a read had decided is shown as structured data and likely, which is an approximation until the page is read again.

The page view shows what AISA read. The What AISA read card now lists the page's facts (specifications, FAQ, rating), then each section under its title, with a badge for a pop-in, secondary text or a shortened section, then how many shopper reviews it holds. The reviews themselves are not shown. A page read before today shows its flat text until it is read again.

Pages that were typed Unknown on common Shopify addresses (/products/, /collections/, /pages/, /policies/, /blogs/) got their address guess back.
