An alert when a site's orders fall or stop

Added

A broken checkout or a stalled order feed often shows up in the numbers days later. AISA now opens an alert on the site when its orders drop.

  • Orders fell: a complete UTC day's orders are under half of the usual level for that weekday, while orders were still arriving that day. The usual level is the median of the same weekday over the 8 weeks before. Orders are counted as the Sales report counts them.
  • Orders stopped: no order event (a purchase, a refund or a cancellation) arrived for 24 hours on a site that usually gets 5 orders or more on that weekday.

Both are warnings. They stay silent until the site's first order is 8 weeks old, so a new store opens none. The alert has an Open the Sales report button. Orders fell closes by itself when a complete day is back at half the usual level or more. Orders stopped closes by itself at the first order event.

Your organization's admins get the same alert email as for other alerts. It goes out with the hourly check, and one check's alerts share one email. No figure appears in the email, the alert or the API.

AISA cannot tell a broken checkout from a broken order feed: both look like no orders. The alert asks you to look, it does not say what broke. A holiday or the end of a campaign can also halve a day.

GET /api/v1/alerts and the list_alerts MCP tool list these alerts with the kinds orders_fall and orders_stopped and the resolution orders_recovered.
