Widgets loaded and widgets mounted in the Engagement report
AddedThe Engagement report now has two more tiles between Exposed and Widget views: Widgets loaded and Widgets mounted.
- Widgets loaded: sessions where a widget was applied and could show on a page.
- Widgets mounted: sessions where the widget was actually placed on a page.
A widget can be loaded and never mounted, for example an inline button whose mount point isn't on the page. It can also be mounted and never viewed, because it sits below the fold. The two tiles let you tell these cases apart. The tag records each event once per widget per browser tab session.
These figures are exact from 21 October 2026. Before that day the tag didn't record the two events, so the tiles count only the sessions that saw a widget and read low. A line under the tiles says so when your date range starts earlier.
The Widgets that failed to mount card now calls a widget "Never appeared" when no session mounted it, instead of when it had no views. A widget mounted below the fold is no longer reported as never appeared.
The get_report tool of the MCP server returns the same figures as loaded and mounted, with widgetLifecycleExactSince giving the date from which they are exact.
