Switch generated starter questions on as they are written

Added

Starter questions that AISA writes from your pages no longer have to wait for you. Site access has a new Starter questions card with two switches: Generate starter questions automatically, which moved there from the pages card, and Switch generated questions on. The second one is off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on.

With it on, the questions you ask for in Pages and the ones written automatically are live on their page as soon as they are written. A warning shows when both switches are on, because questions then reach shoppers with no review. You can still switch each one off in Questions.

When it is off, the Generate and Read and generate dialogs get a Switch the new questions on checkbox, so you can decide for one request. When it is on, the dialogs say so and link to the setting.

Two more changes come with it:

  • Generating again for a page replaces the generated questions that nobody edited or switched on or off, whether they are on or off. A question you switched yourself, or edited, is never replaced.
  • An automatic generation skips a page that already has live generated questions of that kind. The page's history says "Its live questions were kept".

The setting changes only the questions written from now on. It needs the Sites: Edit permission and is recorded in Admin activity as Switch-on of generated starters changed.
