Model calls now run in the European Union

Changed

Model calls now run in the European Union. This covers the assistant's replies and every other call AISA makes to a model:

  • site analysis at onboarding
  • the instruction generator
  • the evaluation judge
  • newsletter composition
  • conversation labeling
  • starter questions
  • page classification

A call that cannot run in the EU fails. It is never sent to another region. If a model has no EU endpoint, the call returns an error instead of running outside the EU.

Retention and training are unchanged. Zero data retention and no training on your data stay in force on every call.

What this does not cover. A request still enters through Vercel's AI Gateway, which picks the provider inside the EU. The web research step at onboarding uses a separate provider and is not part of this change. The sub-processor list names each one.
